The UAE ranks second globally for ex-pats to live and the ease in visa issuance

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been ranked second globally for ex-pats to live and the ease in visa issuance. Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, have claimed the two spots of second and ninth place, respectively, in the Expat Essentials Index 2022.

Dubai secured the second position in the top 10 cities for ex-pats to live in. Abu Dhabi is the ninth-best city for expatriates to live and work.

The ranking is based on InterNations’ annual Expat Insider survey, wherein 11,970 ex-pats participated to rate the quality of life in different cities. The survey conducted in-depth information about five areas of ex-pat life to give the final ranking. The survey analysed the Quality of Life, Ease of Settling In, Working Abroad, Personal Finance, and the new Expat Essentials of 50 cities across the world to give the final rating.

According to Expat City Ranking 2022, Dubai and Abu Dhabi also rank in the top 10 for Quality of Life. The two cities did well in the Ease of Settling Index. People are satisfied with their jobs and their compensation in Dubai. According to ex-pats, Dubai offers a great quality of life to people. Expats are reportedly happy with their social life in Dubai.

Abu Dhabi secured the 4th spot in the Admin Topics Subcategory. The capital of the UAE secured the 12th position in the Ease of Settling Index. The two UAE cities performed well in the personal safety, securing 3rd and 2nd positions, respectively.

The UAE has been the first option for foreigners to start a business because it maintains strong financial reserves. Many foreign companies also seek investment opportunities in the UAE.

Last year, Dubai also ranked first in the world in international tourist spending with $29.4 billion. The city also retained the number one position in global tourism.
