‘Son of Sardaar 2’ Release Date Postponed! Saiyaara’s early success pushes Ajay Devgn’s sequel to a new date

Saiyaara starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has taken over the theatres, the Romantic drama has managed to surge 21 Crore on the opening day. This is huge for a non-star film and breaking records for debutante film openings.

And amidst its strong anticipation, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ has taken a backseat as the makers have pushed the release date from 2 July to 1 August 2025, just days before the grand release. ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ is helmed by Vijay Kumar Arora and has Mrunal Thakur alongside Devgn as the lead and a plethora of stars joining the sequel.

Now ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ will now have a face off clash with ‘Dhadak 2’ starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. The movie is based on Mari Selvaraj’s ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ and has changed the narrative to mould for the Hindi audience.

Both the movies – ‘Saiyaara’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ are romantic dramas that are taking on the internet by a storm as fans have fallen in love with the fresh new pair up with young talents. The movies rely on the narration and the actors set the path for the fans to be swept away by their roles.
