Maleficent 3 (2026) – Trailer, Cast and Crew, Release Date

Disney’s Maleficent film series is one that has changed the structure and narrative surrounding such classic fairy tales like Sleeping Beauty. Following the previous two installments (Maleficent in 2014 and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in 2019), fans have been itching for the third chapter of the Maleficent saga. An official trailer has not yet been released but Disney has suggested one may come as an early look teaser in late 2025. Cast and Crew

Angelina Jolie will return as Maleficent, which has become an iconic role over the years. Elle Fanning is also set to return as Princess Aurora, as she continues her journey to become queen and being Maleficent’s cherished goddaughter. Other returning cast members might include Sam Riley as Diaval, Harris Dickinson as Prince Phillip and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who left many unanswered questions from his role in the second film.

On the directing side, it is rumored that Joachim Rønning, who directed Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, will be back in the director’s chair. Disney has officially slated Maleficent 3 to release worldwide in 2026. Although there is no date, it is widely believed that the release will take place sometime late 2026, with some targeting the holiday season like before, which has been regarded as a prime window for fantasy blockbusters.
