The Pixel family is going to see another inclusion of a member this time, and it’s being said that the latest addition would transform the smartphone market in a whole new way taking it up to a notch higher than the rest of the gadgets of its category present right now at the market.
Termed as the Google Pixel Fold, the Pixel 9 Pro edition is to be launched at the iconic annual Made by Google event tomorrow Aug 13th 2024 at Mountain View, California. Last year the Pixel 8 family was launched, consisting of a whole bunch of features and improvements such as new displays, improved cameras, updated software and its custom designed Tensor Mobile chipset. It was the first AI powered smartphone category in the whole world giving Google a huge competitive edge over its rivals as it launched a whole new era.
The company’s flagship Generative AI is so advanced that Apple is nowhere to be seen. With the Pixel 9 Pro, Google is taking it a step further by introducing AI packed features in the second generation of the Pixel 9 family, having the Android based operating system, trying to seal the deal.
Its main competitor, Apple is way behind in adopting artificial intelligence in its flagship iOS operating system. With the launch of iPhone 15 and 15 Pro in Sept 2023, there were no features of Generative AI to be seen in the series. Now if at all, Apple fans want to experience the generative AI, either they have to wait for the product maker to launch its first AI based smartphone with its Apple Intelligence Software powering it, or they have to shift to Android and take up the Google Pixel Fold.
According to reports, even if Apple launches the Apple 16 next month, powered by the above mentioned Apple Intelligence Software, it would still feature a basic version of ChatGPT while a fully updated and renewed version of artificial intelligence powered model would only be available in the first half of 2025.
Therefore clearly Google is on a league of its own as of now with no one to catch up until and unless any other brand does a miraculous breakthrough.
