Fiji To Host South Pacific Tourism Exchange 2024

Fiji has been chosen to host the 2024 South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) in its third-largest city, Nadi, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation. 

Fiji, a founding member and host country of the Pacific Tourism Organization, will be hosting this significant tourism event for the region, highlighting its strong regional partnerships.

The SPTE, now in its seventh iteration, is scheduled for May next year and will coincide with the Fijian Tourism Expo. 

This event will bring together leaders in the tourism industry, tourism professionals, stakeholders, and partners from various island nations in the region. 

Its purpose is to promote collaboration and showcase the unique cultural heritage and diverse attractions of each participating country.

It is held every two years in a different Pacific Island country. The SPTE 2023 was held in Christchurch, New Zealand, from May 12-13.

The SPTE is a platform for tourism operators from the 20 Pacific Island member countries of the SPTO to meet with international buyers from travel agencies, tour operators, and wholesalers.
