American popular actress Zendaya is busy promoting her upcoming movie Challengers which is soon going to be released this weekend. Zendaya is frequently seen in many interviews, talk shows, and red carpets. What has influenced their fans is Zendaya’s outfits which are inspired by the sport of Tennis. She was seen wearing a dress with tennis patterns and her heels with tennis balls amazed everyone. The current fashion sense and outfits of Zendaya are somewhat similar to the film of Luca Guadagnino. Not everyone can match this fashion sense but can talk about the trending fashion sense inspired by Tennis called ‘Tenniscore’.

More About Tenniscore Fashion Fever

After witnessing fashion inspired by Tennis many people are looking for similar polo shirts and tennis skirts to buy from a secondhand fashion app called Depop. The number for tennis skirts rose to 53% whereas demand for polo shirts rose to 53%. The main reason behind the hike in Tennis-inspired fashion is the ‘Apples Never Fall Series’ of Apple TV which focuses on the life of a family who was very fond of Tennis. Famous brands like Celine and Miu Miu are stocking their stores with tennis core fashion.

Throwback to the Relation Between Tennis and Fashion

This is not the first time that fashion related to tennis has become a trend. We can trace back the history where many times tennis has inspired fashion. During the 1920’s famous French tennis player, Suzanne Lenglen became a fashion icon because while playing she wore designs of Jean Patou. Many brands today are named after popular tennis players including Stan Smith and Fred Perry.

Chris Evert gave a new fashion trend during the 1978 US Open when she wore a diamond bracelet during the game and this ‘Tennis Bracelet’ came into the trend. During the 1980s to 1990 famous tennis players like Bjorn Borg, John McEncore, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff wore vibrant colours like neon during the game.

Many highlight fashion moment of tennis is when Billie Jean wore a wonderful dress during the ‘battles of sexes’ in 1973.

Also, Tennis is one of the major sports and famous tennis players have become the brand ambassadors of world-famous brands including Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Gucci.

Despite many fashionable players and popularity tennis has its dress code which has to be worn by every player.

The Business of Fashion Magazine writer who writes about fashion and sports, Daniel Yaw Miller says, “ There are so many young players on the tour who are bolder and portray their style on and off the court.”
