Historical Significance
National Technology Day revisits India’s historic achievements in the field of science and technology.
The country’s first nuclear tests on May 11, 1998, under Pokhran-II, codenamed Operation Shakti, brought it international recognition as a nuclear power and highlighted its magnificent scientific capabilities. The tests showcased India’s power to create and deploy nuclear weapons.
Celebration
