Djokovic and Alcaraz Headline Blockbuster Day 10 at US Open 2025

The 10th day of the US Open 2025 will be one of the most exciting in the history of the tournament, as some of the biggest stars of the the world of tennis will shine at Flushing Meadows on Tuesday, September 2. The master of the US Open, Novak Djokovic, will end the evening session at Arthur Ashe Stadium against home favorite Taylor Fritz. Aryna Sabalenka and Markéta Vondroušová confronted each other earlier in the evening in the quarterfinals of the women’s singles. In the meantime, Carlos Alcaraz will be trying to hold off a threatening Jiří Lehečka in the hope of keeping alive the prospect of a blockbuster Olympic final rematch with Djokovic.

Djokovic’s Quest and Alcaraz’s Challenge

Novak Djokovic gets back into the limelight on the courts of Arthur Ashe Stadium, where he hopes to further his unstoppable chase after history. Against Taylor Fritz, the Serbian icon will be able to attract a full house of ardent supporters and enjoy another masterpiece. Before her, Aryna Sabalenka, the best seed in the women’s tennis draw, will face Markéta Vondroušová in what would be a high-intensity match.

The world No. 2 and Paris 2024 Olympic silver medalist Carlos Alcaraz will need to overcome Czech challenger Jiri Lehecka in the afternoon shift. In case both he and Djokovic reach there, the tennis fans might be in for a delectable Olympic rematch in the middle of the tournament.

Doubles Action and Veteran Spotlight

In other places, the doubles contests make the day more dramatic and deep. At 45 years old and still competitive, Venus Williams has joined Leylah Fernandez to win a women’s doubles title. There will also be high-stakes mixed doubles and junior matches, as well as wheelchair competitions on the outside courts. And featuring both legendary veterans and a crop of future stars, the Tuesday schedule can provide every type of tennis fan with a reason to watch.
