Britney Spears ‘getting therapy’ amid bitter divorce

The ‘Toxic’ singer, 41, is apparently getting therapy amid a divorce with personal trainer-turned-actor Sam Asghari. According to Page Six, Britney Spears has the ongoing help of a therapist and has hired Laura Wasser, who charges $1,000 an hour.

The 55-year-old divorce lawyer has represented a string of A-list stars over her almost 30-year law career, including Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, Kris Jenner, Christina Aguilera, Maria Shriver, Hilary Duff, Kate Walsh, Kevin Costner and Kelly Clarkson.

Breaking her silence over the split on August 18, Spears admitted on Instagram she was a “little shocked” Asghari had decided to file for a divorce. But her friends say she has a strong support network to keep her going during the tough period.

“Shut Down Any And All Communication With One Another”

The artist is doing incredibly well under the circumstances, an insider told Page Six. News Britney is reportedly seeking therapy comes after a claim she and Asghari have “totally shut down any and all communication with one another,” sources told TMZ.

The two are now relying on their legal teams to handle everything moving forward, the outlet reported. Nevertheless, despite apparently pausing all sorts of direct communication with each other. Spears and Asghari have both spoken out on their split on social media.

Breaking her silence over the breakdown of her marriage, the pop star wrote on Instagram alongside a video of herself dancing that she was a little shocked, admitting six years is a long time to be with someone. A day earlier, Asghari said online: “S*** happens”.
