Headlines today heftily cover Apple’s just-concluded ‘Wonderlust’ event in Cupertino, California. The tech giant has unveiled the new iPhone 15 Series (iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max), along with the Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2.
For a 128 GB model, the iPhone 15 is priced starting at $799 and the iPhone 15 Plus at $899. The two represent a huge leap forward, featuring industry-leading durability and an advanced camera system designed to help users take fantastic photos of everyday moments.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999 with 128 GB of storage and the Pro Max at $1,199 with 256 GB of storage. While the A17 Pro chip unlocks next-level gaming performances, powerful camera upgrades shall improve your daily experience.
While durability and performance have been the key highlights of the Cupertino event, there is another benefit of purchasing an item from the iPhone 15 series. It’s the impact on the planet as Apple says the new iPhones are designed with the environment in mind.
As the tech giant continues to work towards its 2030 objective of making every product carbon neutral, it is designing products with recycled and other low-carbon materials as well as prioritising clean electricity across the entire supply chain.
The iPhone 15 series now uses more recycled content and meets Apple’s high standards for energy efficiency. Additionally, almost the complete packaging is fibre-based, bringing the company closer to its goal of eradicating plastic from its packaging by 2025.
To further reduce impact on the environment, leather will no longer be a part of any new Apple products including accessories. The company is introducing a new FineWoven Case with MagSafe and FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe.
Concerning another important highlight of Tuesday’s event – the iPhone 15 series features iOS 17, which introduces a number of new features and makes the products more personal and intuitive. The Phone app gets major updates, with key improvements to autocorrect as well.
