Zara’s Barbie Collection Quickly Becomes a Fan Favorite

Everyone wants to dress up like a “Barbie” with Zara’s Barbie Collection which is selling like hot cakes. The brand has drawn inspiration from the upcoming film Barbie, releasing July 21, for menswear and womenswear.

The collection includes a pink sharp-lapel pajama set with an embroidered “B”, a strapless chevron-print swimsuit, and white boxers with “Ken” adorning the band. Zara’s Barbie Collection also offers beauty products and home décor. It features the styles of actress Margot Robbie, who plays the character Barbie, and Ryan Gosling, who plays Ken, in the upcoming movie.

The collection dives into nostalgia with pieces like a cropped tee, embellished with a glittery Barbie logo and a white T-shirt showcasing one of the earliest dolls, while evoking the playful dress-up moments generations have had with their own dolls.

Zara’s Barbie Collection includes a pink gingham dress with an A-line silhouette, the line’s denim vest set is based on Gosling’s Western-inspired outfit that has been highlighted in one of the film’s trailers. One of the fast sellers is the hot-pink dress, that’s ideal as an evening-gown Barbie’ look; it features draped fabric detailing and a maxi bow made of the same fabric. And it goes perfectly with the Barbie Mattel hoop earrings – open hoops with the Barbie lettering across the front and push-back clasps.

Moreover, Zara in collaboration with Random Studio is hosting pop-ups in New York City and Paris. The pop-ups resemble the “Barbie Dreamhouse”, featuring life-size fitting rooms and a vending machine that rotates the shelves of products.

Shoppers can explore the boundaries between real and imaginary, with screens that showcase scenes from a handcrafted digital Barbie universe.
