Who is Yuta?

Yuta Okkotsu is the lead in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and the main supporting actor in Jujutsu Kaisen anime. In Jujutsu Kaisen Yuta played the role of lead sorcerer. In JJK Yuta is cursed by his childhood friend Rika Orimoto. Rika also loved Yuta very much. When Gojo discovered Yuta’s curse, Gojo decided to take Yuta under his wing. He admitted Yuta as a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Gojo trained Yuta along with Maki Zenin, Panda, and Toge Inumaki. Yuta is one of the main roles in the story. He marked his debut in Jujutsu in a standalone movie.

Currently, Yuta is a college-going student in the second year and is one of the four special-grade jujutsu sorcerers.

Yuta’s Power And Ability

The source of Yuta’s powers and abilities comes from his childhood friend Rika Orimoto who died. Rika loved Yuta so much that she never wanted to leave his side. Rita cursed Yuta to stay with him forever. Rita later transformed into a special grade cursed spirit and got the title of ‘The Queen of Curses’. With this, she became the source of Yuta’s exceptional powers. 

Here are some of the major powers and abilities of Yuta.

1)Copy Cursed Techniques

Copy Cursed is Yuta’s one of the most important inbuilt power and technique. When Yuta is connected to Rika he can copy any cursed technique and can easily learn and apply it. No matter the technique is unique to any individual or clan but Yutaa can easily copy and learn. Yuta’s ability was first seen in Jujutsu Kaisen:0 during Yuta’s fight with Geto Suguru.

2)Summoning Weapons

Yuta’s summoning weapons ability and power are gained because of his connection with Rika. Yuta can summon anything that he wants. Rika is the storage of Yuta’s cursed tools and techniques. Yuta’s ability was seen when he summoned a megaphone with the Snake and Fangs.

3)Cursed Energy

Yuta has a great amount of cursed energy. The reason for his unlimited cursed energy is first he comes from a powerful clan and second, he is connected to Rika who gives him a high level of cursed energy. Yuta with his unlimited cursed energy has developed some skills:

Cursed Energy Control: Yuta can very well manage his cursed energy because of which he can use it powerfully and correctly.

Black Flash: Yuta is one of the few sorcerers who can perform this black flash technique. 

Cursed Energy Fortification: To enhance his abilities Yuta used cursed energy to strengthen his body.

Yuta is trending because Chapter 261 of Jujutsu Kaisen has confirmed a long-running story for the fans. In the long-running story, Yuta was going to inherit the six eyes of Satoru Gojo. The reason for this was that Yuta and Gojo were distant cousins but the real reason which no one had expected was that it happened through Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique. However, fans were surprised when they came to know that Yuta would take over Gojo’s body.
