D Gukesh considers a challenge to the champion Ding Liren at the 2024 World Chess Championship. The title will be decided over the course of 14 normal matches, and possible additional matches in case of a draw, between November 25 and December 13, 2024. Just like any other sporting discipline, there are down days in between in order to give players a break mentally and also mentally prepare them.
