Wednesday Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Storyline, and Everything You Need to Know

The wait for Wednesday fans is almost over. Netflix has finally announced the release dates for Season 2 of its hit supernatural series, and new trailers are already building excitement around the world.

Release Date

Season 2 will arrive in two parts.

  • Part 1: August 6, 2025
  • Part 2: September 3, 2025

Each part will have four episodes, making a total of eight. The split release means fans won’t have to wait long between the two halves of the season.

The Story So Far

In Season 1, Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega) joined Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts, where she uncovered dark secrets, solved murders, and faced supernatural threats. The finale left viewers with new mysteries — including the identity of her stalker and the fate of Tyler Galpin.

What to Expect in Season 2

Netflix teases that Wednesday will face “fresh foes and woes” in her second year at Nevermore. There will be more supernatural mysteries, family drama, and her trademark sharp humor.

The season kicks off with Wednesday having a disturbing vision about her roommate Enid’s death — and she’s determined to stop it. Expect more dark twists, eerie visions, and plenty of Addams Family charm.

Behind the Scenes

Filming took place in Ireland, a change from Season 1’s Romania location, due to easier production logistics. Tim Burton returns to direct four episodes, including the premiere. Jenna Ortega is also stepping in as a producer and has promised a darker, more horror-focused tone.

Future of the Series & Where to Watch

Netflix has already confirmed Wednesday Season 3, and there are talks about possible spin-offs exploring other members of the Addams Family. Season 1 is available to stream on Netflix, and Season 2 will also debut exclusively on the platform.
