We know that medical schools charge high fees, but some public universities offer lower tuition for in-state students. This helps students and families to save money and encourages students to study in medical school.
According to U.S. News & World Report, the average in-state tuition for public medical schools in 2023-2024 was $39,540, but there are some schools who are charging much less.
The University of New Mexico School of Medicine had the lowest tuition, at $19,576, but the highest tuition fee is of the University of Pittsburgh which charged $64,606.
