VP Kamala Harris Highlights U.S.-UAE Defense and Tech Partnerships in Meeting with UAE President

After the meeting of US President Joe Biden and UAE President His Highness President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on Monday, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris also met with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE at the White House. Vice President Harris praised the leadership of UAE in advanced technology, including artificial intelligence, and their shared efforts on strategic investments, space exploration, and supply chain diversification. This discussion includes the talk about the importance of the defense partnership between the USA and UAE for security and stability.

The war in Gaza was also the key issue of the meeting. VP Kamala Harris urged to protect innocent civilians while ensuring humanitarian aid reaches those in need. Both leaders talk about ongoing efforts to stop the conflict and plan for peace.
