UAE Launches Global Cybersecurity Center of Excellence in Collaboration with Google

The United Arab Emirates starts its digital security progress by creating a Global Cybersecurity Center of Excellence at its Abu Dhabi headquarters. The new security program represents a joint venture with Google that occurred after Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the United States. By working with Google the UAE wants to become the cybersecurity innovation leader in its region and build new economic sources while making digital defenses stronger.

Strategic Objectives and Ownership

Through its partnership with Google the UAE works to build secure cyber capabilities and improve research systems that focus on security development. The UAE remains in control of essential security technology under this partnership since it gets intellectual property rights for center-developed products.

The initiative supports both research development and local startups by providing Google resources to help them grow. Google establishes its Google Cybersecurity Academy headquarters in Abu Dhabi as its base to develop a regional source of cybersecurity experts for the future.

Economic and Security Impact

By 2030, the Center of Excellence will save the UAE economy USD 6.8 billion because it helps block cyberattacks. The safety system helps to reduce expenses for companies and government agencies using digital services in the UAE.

By 2030 this program aims to bring in USD 1.4 billion of foreign investment and develop 20,000 cyber security specialists for the UAE market. The workforce development plan creates digital security specialists across the Middle East by filling global cybersecurity vacancies and establishing the UAE as a local expertise leader.

Implementation and Training Ecosystem

The center uses modern technology methods to test new cyberattacks in real time, which helps protect our nation from developing threats. Organizations can fully test their operational security response through these meaningful practical exercises to reach superior protection levels.Strategic collaborations between the center and educational institutions, security overseers, company founders, and small businesses structure its core activities. The Google Academy leads this system by validating training plans and resources while creating local and worldwide security experts for the whole network. The center will assist Google by expanding its worldwide cybersecurity network to tackle new threats throughout different industries and geographic areas.
