U.S.-Ukraine Agreement on Rare Earths Could Be Worth Trillions

According to senior Ukrainian officials Ukraine and the U.S. have agreed on a major economic deal that includes access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals.

After this deal, Kyiv is hoping that this deal will help them to secure continued U.S. military support in war against Russia. And Ukraine needs US support urgently. The agreement could be signed as early as Friday, and plans are being made for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to visit Washington to meet President Donald Trump.

US President Trump also confirmed he had heard about Zelenskyy’s possible visit and said, “It’s okay with me if he’d like to, and he would like to sign it together with me.”

Trump called the deal a “big one,” possibly worth a trillion dollars. He added, “It could be whatever, but it’s rare earth and other things.”

More details are expected soon.
