Trump Names New Ambassadors to Portugal and Malta in Latest Administration Picks
Former President Donald Trump has shared several major diplomatic nominations for his prospective new term on his social media account Truth Social: Ambassador to Portugal and Ambassador to Malta.
John Arrigo, vice president of the Arrigo Auto Group in West Palm Beach, FLA, has been appointed the next U.S. Ambassador to Portugal. Trump also commended Arrigo on his three decades of business experience and his success as an automobile businessman and credited them on knowing each other for a very long time. Arrigo’s business is located close to Trump’s property known as Mar-a-Lago, where the former president often holds briefings.
Trump nominated Somers Farkas for the position of the next U.S. Ambassador to Malta. Farkas a model businesswoman and a former member of Trump’s President’s Commission on White House Fellowships. For her charitable activities, she has raised millions for the purposes of various charitable organizations such as New York City Police Foundation. Besides, Trump nominated Mauricio Claver-Carone as Special Envoy for Latin America, which is expected to work on the issues of IMO migration and fentanyl.
