Trump Confirms Discussions with Four Groups on TikTok Sale
President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that his government is in multiple talks with four interested parties about buying TikTok because the social media service has trouble operating within America.
Trump discussed negotiations with Air Force One pressers indicating that his team meets with four different groups and all groups create valuable opportunities. The President signed an executive order earlier this year to delay enforcing rules that need ByteDance to sell its U.S. operations or face national security restrictions.
Business reports say Frank McCourt the previous Dodgers owner wants to acquire TikTok alongside other potential buyers. Industry research predicts TikTok might reach $50 billion in value due to its fast market growth and strong presence in social media today. ByteDance and TikTok have not given statements about ongoing talks to sell their business.
