Trump Backs Out of Third Debate, Harris Campaign Mocks Him as ‘Chicken’

President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, declared that he wouldn’t agree to the third debate with Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States of America. This decision drew the ire of both Harris’s campaign and her supporters by making fun of her.

David Plouffe, Harris’s campaign chairman, posted on X (formerly Twitter): The final spirit animal is found to be The Chicken and this line became viral on social media: “At long last, we discover his spirit animal: The Chicken.”

The former president offered his explanation on Truth Social, his social media application. He said, “Polls clearly show that I won the debate against Comrade Kamala Harris… She and Crooked Joe have destroyed our country…” Trump did not see the need for the next debate.

It was surprising to hear so many people ridicule Trump for backing out. There was one user who posted a cartoon illustrating Trump behind a door asking if Harris is gone. Another shared a video of Trump from TV, from several years ago, making fun of the fact that Trump said he would not debate again.

Such fears are justified and they wondered whether Trump was willing to debate in the future. He had earlier accepted an invitation by FOX news channel to debate on the same on 4th of September but declined later. That he only participated in the ABC debate on September 10 that he had been scheduled to attend anyway. This change made the people believe that he was attempting to dodge questions or a formidable competitor in Harris.

A Harris supporter posted a harsh comment: “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” shouts the fearful, senile, racially bigoted, sexual assault offender ex-convict Trump Too much of a coward to debate. Too much of a coward to lead the United States.

Trump also accused ABC News moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis of being fake news. He said that they were unfair and described the debate as “three against one” in favor of Harris. He also said that Harris had shunned other networks such as Fox, which made it worse.

The failure by the democratic party to agree to the debate and the response from both sides of the political divide is a clear and vivid illustration of the political polarization that exists in American politics. It also stresses the role of debates in formation of public opinion, especially during the election periods.
