Suicide blast in Pakistan’s Balochistan kills School Students, many injured

Four school children were killed in an attack directed towards the army school bus in Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Wednesday, a military official revealed, reports Reuters. Around 40 students were on the bus heading to an army school inside an army cantonment, said Yasir Iqbal, the administrator of Khuzdar district, where the incident took place.

Pakistan military and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif immediately shared their condemnation of the violent act, accusing “Indian Terror Proxies” to be a part of the attack, though didn’t share any evidence on their claim.

Balochistan is the largest with a small population which has been trying to establish itself as a separate country now faces acts of violence which also wounded several others. New Delhi has not commented yet about the attack or the claim by Pakistan officials.

The two neighboring countries have always had growing tension including the recent escalated attacks from 10 May that has now been under ceasefire, the most intense firing between the two nations in over a decade.

Balochistan has also been a tense province as separatist groups, the Balochistan Liberation Army blew up a railway track, where 31 killings were recorded after the train hostage in March. After the 2014 attack on a school in Peshawar, one of the deadliest attacks in Pakistan that took the lives of more than 130 children.

The growing tension between India and Pakistan has also uprooted these nations to accuse each other – which both the capitals have denied. Both the countries have launched deadly missiles with India launching Operation Sindoor targeting terrorist regions, as retribution for the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir region where several tourists’ lives were killed, for which Islamabad denied involvement.
