Rome's Colosseum could serve as venue for Elon Musk - Mark Zuckerberg fight
If you are a billionaire challenging another fellow billionaire for a “cage match” which could easily become one of the world’s most viewed events, the showdown (if it all proceeds) should obviously happen at an immensely recognisable monument on Earth.
SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently challenged Mark Zuckerberg for a fight, which the Meta chief accepted as well.
Amid the chaos, an official from Italy’s Ministry of Culture has reportedly reached out to both the entrepreneurs to see if the historic Colosseum in Rome could be the venue for their cage match, a report from the New York Post mentioned.
Adding fuel to the fire, Musk took to Twitter yesterday to highlight: “Some chance fight happens in Colosseum.”
Nevertheless, rumours suggest both the billionaires are currently training with Russian-American computer scientist Lex Fridman. Last month, Musk revealed how seriously he’s taking the match, saying he will begin training if the mixed martial arts fight takes shape.
The Twitter owner suggested Tuesday he was ready for a cage match in Las Vegas with the fellow billionaire media mogul, who has trained in jiu-jitsu.
“I haven’t started training yet. So if this does happen, I will,” Musk mentioned in a talk on Twitter with Ashlee Vance, who’s working on a book on Musk and the space race.
While attending a birthday party in Europe, the Tesla boss had suggested the cage fight “might actually happen”, adding it was possible it could take a bad turn if Zuckerberg chooses to take the match seriously.
