Republicans Tear Joe Biden for $6 Billion Ransom Payout to Iran

US President Joe Biden has done it again, signed a deal with the devil and released $6 billion Iran’s own money in exchange for five Americans. And the timing couldn’t be more awkward, the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks

The Democrats have been called out for their apathy to the worst terrorist attacks in America and shaking hands with the sponsor of terrorism himself – Iran; as in the words of Senator Tom Cotton, “shameful”. Cotton called out Joe Biden for using 9/11 as an excuse to leave Afghanistan in the hands of the Taliban and the ransom bailout of the five Americans to the world’s worst state sponsor of terrorism.

Biden’s Secret Deal With Iran

Senator Bill Hagerty rebuked the US President for doing the ransom payment on the 22nd anniversary of 9/11. Other politicians accused White House for keeping the Americans in the dark about the deal. They said it’s the Biden administration’s yet another “secret deal”.

Former US President Donald Trump also jumped into the conversation saying the United States did a hostage TRADE with Iran. “Does anyone realize how much money 6 Billion Dollars is? When I was President, I got back 58 hostages for ZERO money. Remember Pastor Brunson? It sets a TERRIBLE precedent. Republicans, call out the 25th Amendment, NOW! Biden is INCOMPETENT!”

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken argues that payout was needed to release the prisoners. He reiterated US’s commitment to the prisoners and said the funds are only for humanitarian trade, while the National Security Council added the arrangement was to secure the release of the wrongfully held Americans in Iran.

What Will Iran Do With $6 Billion?

Now, the $6 billion question is “what will Iran do with it?” To put salt on US’s wounds Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said they will do whatever they please! While Washington maintains that the money can only be used for humanitarian purposes, it’s for Iran to use the funds as it wants to.

Raisi said Iran would have authority over how the $6 billion would be spent. “This money belongs to the Iranian people, the Iranian government, so the Islamic Republic of Iran will decide what to do with the money.”

Critics believe Tehran will deploy the funds for its nuclear program or buy more weapons to support proxies in the Middle East.
