rajkumar rao looks fierce and troublesome in the upcoming gangster flick maalik teaser here
Following the warm response of the time loop comedy ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’, Rajkumar Rao is roped in for an atrociously fierce action movie, a truly contrasting role for the actor who has returned to doing action roles after a while.
Titled ‘Maalik’, Rajkumar Rao is playing the titular character in a ruthless gangster film that is directed by Pulkit, the director of ‘Bhakshak’, ‘Marron’ and others. The movie makers just dropped a huge announcement that ‘Maalik’ will be hitting the screens on 11 July 2025 through a special teaser.
The teaser immediately got picked up by fans who are excited about this action avatar of Rajkumar Rao. With a caption, “Paida nahin hue toh kya, ban toh sakte hai!!” which means “So what if you are not born, you can at least become one!!”, the makers released the action packed bloody teaser that has Rajkumar Rao plundering fatal blows to a man and lighting him on fire with crackers.
A periodic film that is set in 1988 Allahabad, ‘Maalik’ also has Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushii Chillar, Medha Shankr in prominent roles. Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani are bankrolling the project through Tips Industries and Northern Light Films while Pen Marudhar along with Tips Industries are distributing the movie.
Sachin-Jigar are scoring the music for ‘Maalik’ with Amitabh Battacharya penning the lyrics. ‘Maalik’ marks the second collaboration of Rajkumar Rao and director Pulkit as the duo has already worked in the 2012 miniseries Boss: Dead/Alive.
