PM Modi’s International Trips cost around ₹300 Crore since 2021: Here’s the Breakdown

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has revealed a detailed expenditure breakdown of the Prime Minister’s international diplomatic visits across the continents, as questioned by MP Derek O’Brien in the Rajya Sabha. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited multiple countries, some several times since 2021 and the expenditure breakdown from the External Affairs official report leaves burning questions from the opposition. The entire breakdown has been revealed to be around ₹300 Crore. These visits seem to be a part of the diplomatic duties and generally boasts the country’s ties and progresses, this also comes with a colossal price tag.

  • Bangladesh – ₹1.01 cr
  • United States – ₹19.63 cr

  • United Kingdom – ₹8.57 cr

2022 (visits to Germany, Denmark, France, Nepal, Japan)

  • Germany – ₹9.44 cr

2023 (major trips to Japan, Australia, USA, France, South Africa, UAE)
