Mexico and UAE Strengthen Ties Through Innovation and Culture

Mexico and the United Arab Emirates are working together on innovation and cultural exchange. Salem Rashed Alowais the UAE ambassador to Mexico shared this vision during the 53rd National Day celebration in UAE.

He emphasized the interest in working on technology and innovation projects and also the connectivity of cultural ties between both the two nations. They also highlighted the ongoing progress in trade, investment, energy, and culture. Salem Rashed Alowais also said that Mexico is a strategic partner for connecting with Latin America.

He said, “As ambassador, my mission is to promote this relationship with an eye to the future,Our shared vision of progress and collaboration drives us to explore new opportunities for cooperation at all levels.”

The ambassador of Mexico María Teresa Mercado and Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs congratulate the gulf nation UAE because it is a top trading partner in the Gulf region. She noted the unique partnership between the two nations. Officially the relationship started in 2023.

Mercado said, “Mexico and the UAE signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and comprehensive partnership during COP 28 in Dubai, aimed at strengthening political ties and boosting economic, commercial, and cultural exchanges”.

In 2025 they will celebrate 50 years of strong ties between both nations. Both Mexico and the UAE showed positive attitude and interest to work together to grow the ties, and work together for mutual benefits.
