On Sunday Hamas handed over 3-hostages to the Red Cross. Palestinians celebrated today on the streets after the initial start of hostages to the Red Cross under a ceasefire deal.
Red Cross confirmed the return of Israeli hostages—Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher, and Emily Damari. According to officials, the hostages are healthy after an initial medical examination. “The condition of the three hostages is good, following an initial medical examination,”- CNN reported.
This is a big development toward peace in Gaza. People celebrated around Hostages Square in Tel Aviv.
Crowds cheered, chanting, “Romi is coming back! Emily is coming back! Doron is coming back!”
Al Jazeera confirmed the handover. The Red Cross played an important role in ensuring the safe transfer of hostages. Though the procedure was delayed, the positive ending with a new start is hope in the ongoing conflict.
