‘The Passion of the Christ’ actor Jim Caviezel and ‘Pulp Fiction’ legend John Travolta will be seen as officers leading an FBI operation in a faith driven action thriller titled ‘Syndicate’ that is directed by Asif Akbar.
“The story will revolve around the journey of a recently released ex-criminal, Patrick O’Malley (Caviezel), who finds God and his faith during his nearly 30 years in prison. After choosing the righteous path to redemption, he becomes an informant for the FBI and works undercover for Special Agent Felix Miller (Travolta) to bring down the largest organized crime syndicate in the nation”, briefs Deadline Exclusive.
Akbar was last seen putting out Lionsgate thriller ‘Boneyard’ starring Mel Gibson and 50 Cents while Jim Caviezel starred in one of his most prolific roles in Gibson’s directorial ‘The Passion of the Christ’ that is set for a sequel titled ‘The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection’. John Travolta, the two times Academy Award Nominee was seen in ‘Cash Out’ and ‘High Rollers’.
The movie is written, directed and produced by Asif Akbar with his Akbar Media and Colin Bates for Dreams Syndicate.
