Joe Biden Approves Use of U.S. Weapons by Ukraine for Strikes in Russia

The U.S. has given Ukraine the green light to use American-made weapons to start strikes into Russian territory. This is a big shift in U.S. policy in ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Ukraine is now all set for long-range attacks in the coming days. But this news is not confirmed by authorities. Zelenskyy said in his speech “speak for themselves.” He also indicated that actions like these are not announced in advance. The White House and U.S. State Department have not commented on the decision.

This change in policy of US came after a long time. Previously Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had been urging U.S. to let Ukraine use American weapons to strike Russian.

The decision was made after Russia sent troops from North Korea.

Russia has warned against this move of US. They said that this step by government of US to allow Ukraine to use US made weapons against Russia can increase the tensions in the region.

At first, U.S. denied Ukraine’s requests for other military support. However, they have now agreed to supply some of the requested equipment. This marks a significant shift in U.S. support for Ukraine.
