Iranian MP Calls for Nuclear Weapons to Balance Power in Middle East

Last updated on November 19th, 2024 at 04:43 am

Ahmad Naderi an Iranian Member of Parliament, has called on Iran to develop nuclear weapons. He believes this step is necessary to maintain a balance of power in the Middle East.

Naderi suggested that Iran should carry out a nuclear bomb test. He said, “There is no other way for us. Balance in the region cannot be achieved without nuclear weapons.”

He compared Iran’s position to Israel, which is believed to have nuclear weapons. Naderi stated, “The other side has several nuclear warheads they can use anytime. There is no reason we should not have similar weapons.”

In addition to nuclear arms, Naderi proposed a major change in Iran’s military and nuclear strategies. He emphasized that achieving balance requires “appropriate and equivalent weapons and tools.”

Naderi’s comments have sparked discussions about Iran’s future in the region and its approach to military power.
