Indian PM Modi is on an official visit to Russia. This visit is very important at the time when DC is about to host the NATO summit and the Ukraine war is going on.
During this visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the Order of St Andrew the Apostle the First-Called, Russia’s highest civilian honor. President Vladimir Putin presented the award to PM Modi in Moscow for his exceptional efforts in fostering the partnership and friendship between the two nations. This is a new milestone of India-Russia relations,
PM Modi expressed his gratitude after receiving this award, they said that this award is for 1.4 billion Indians and it is a testament to the deep-rooted ties between India and Russia. He highlighted the strengthened ties under President Putin’s leadership over the past 25 years and emphasized the importance of continued efforts for peace and stability.
The Order of St Andrew the Apostle the First-Called, established in 1698 by Tsar Peter the Great, is awarded for outstanding civilian or military merit. The ceremony took place in the Grand Hall of the Order of Saint Andrew, a historical site that has also hosted Russian presidential inaugurations.
