Important Food Recalls: Check Your Kitchen for Eggs, Apple Juice, and More

It’s very important to stay informed about product recalls to avoid potential health risks. Recently several food items, from eggs to apple juice, have been recalled due to various safety concerns. Here’s a quick roundup of the products you should check for in your kitchen:

1. Greek Yogurt

Kirkland Signature Greek Yogurt is being recalled because of mold contamination. The recall applies to 24-pack yogurts with the UPC “0 96619 22215 5” and a best-by date of “2024 AU 10.” These were sold at Costco stores across Canada.

2. Beef Skirt Steak

Skylark Meats has recalled its Smokey Hibachi Seasoned Beef Skirt Steak because it contains soy, wheat, and sesame that weren’t listed on the label. The affected products were sold at Costco and have a sell-by date of September 13, 2024.

3. Frozen Protein Waffles

Kodiak’s frozen protein waffles were recalled after plastic was found in some packages. The recall affects buttermilk & vanilla waffles sold at Costco, with a use-by date of “01/10/26.”

4. Apple Juice

Several brands of apple juice, like Great Value and Nice!, have been recalled because of high arsenic levels. The recall affects products sold at stores like Walmart and Aldi, with best-by dates extending through 2025.

5. Margarine

PC Blue Menu’s Original Margarine and Margarine with Olive Oil were recalled. The reason behind this recall is the moldiness. Both products were sold across Canada in large tubs.

6. Vegan Protein Bars

Nutrabolics’ Feed Me Vegan Protein Bars (chocolate coconut flavor) were also recalled. The reason behind this recall is the undeclared milk. This milk can cause a risk to those with dairy allergies. So, beware before consuming it.

7. Eggs

Milo’s Poultry Farms and Tony’s Fresh Market are recalling eggs. This is because of salmonella contamination. These eggs were sold between May and August 2024 and have caused some illnesses. If you have these eggs, please throw them away or return them to the store!

If any of these products are in your home, hurry up initiate your return to the store or dispose of them immediately. These are harmful for you and your family!
