Tickets for the tournament will go on sale this month, ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley announced, calling on hundreds of millions of fans of the sport to register their interest from next week to ensure they are one of the first to receive the news.
While speaking about the announcement, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) CEO Hemang Amin said the administrative body “will leave no stone unturned” to ensure the fans have an enjoyable experience at all the hosting venues.
While ticket sales for the upcoming tournament will go live on August 25, fans will be allowed to register their interest in purchasing from August 15 at this website. The registration process will ensure the interested individuals are the first to receive ticket-related news.
Notably, ICC has decided to divide ticket sales for the event according to the venue. While tickets for all non-India matches will go on sale from August 25, fans will need to wait until August 30 for tickets for India’s warm-up matches.
The interest in the upcoming India – Pakistan clash in Ahmedabad is quite prominent. Tickets for the highly-anticipated match will go on sale on September 3, while tickets for the semi-finals and finals will be available for purchase from September 15.
