Hailey Bieber receiving death threats, reaches out to Selena Gomez: Singer speaks out
Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber are finally putting an end to the social media drama. For a number of weeks, netizens have been obsessing over the stars’ alleged argument over Justin Bieber and over Hailey’s supposed attempts to mock or copy Selena. Neither party had publicly addressed the drama, but Selena spoke out on Friday, defending her ex’s wife.
And Hailey also thanked her for it.
In her Instagram Story, the Only Murders in the Building star wrote: “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity.”
Scores of social media users were assuming things weren’t going smoothly between Hailey and Selena since the model and Justin got married in 2018, just weeks after his breakup with the singer. But last year, the ladies happily posed together for photos at the Academy Museum Gala and put a stop to those claims.
Still, rumours of a feud between both resurfaced this year as netizens claimed Hailey and Kylie Jenner made fun of Selena. Since, the singer has gained millions of followers, and the Rhode founder has lost thousands – in addition to potentially getting death threats.
But Selena has never blamed the model for the end of her relationship with Justin. A few hours later, Hailey jumped in to “thank Selena for speaking out”. She seemingly addressed the chaos over the laminated eyebrows matter, also involving her friend Kylie. “Things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended,” the model wrote. Both the stars are now following each other on Instagram.
