Eurovision is the world’s one of the biggest song contests where many countries from Europe and outside Europe participate in it. The 68th version of Eurovision is now finally over and the winner of Eurovision 2024 is Switzerland’s Nemo.
Eurovision is a song contest that offers full entertainment to its viewers and offers a stage for different artists to present their country’s music. Eurovision is famous among the audience because of its entertaining musical performances and captivating costumes worn by singers.
Eurovision 2024 was hosted in the Swedish city of Malmo.
Eurovision 2024 is hosted by popular Swedish comedian Petra Mede. On 7th May 2024, the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024 was conducted. In the first semi-final, 18 countries contested out of which 3 were Germany, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
Out of 10 countries, 10 countries made it to the Final including Serbia, Cyprus, Portugal, Luxembourg, Croatia, Ireland, and Ukraine among others. The countries that could not make it to the finals were Poland, Iceland, Australia, and Azerbaijan.
Eurovision 2024 second round of the semi-final was held after one day on 9 May. In this semi, final total of 19 countries took part in the contest out of which France, Spain, and Italy also performed. Out of 19 countries this time also 10 countries made their way to the final which includes Switzerland, Greece, Austria, Armenia, Latvia, Norway, and Israel among others.
The most awaited grand finale of Eurovision 2024 was concluded on Sunday 11th May. After so much anticipation, strong competition, and tensions the winner title of this year’s Eurovision is won by Switzerland’s Nemo. The grand finale of this contest included 26 countries out of which Switzerland won the contest.
The voting system of Eurovision consisted of two votes: one of the telecast votes of the broadcast audience and the other vote was the jury vote of music professionals from 37 countries.
The song which gained the highest number of votes both from the jury (37) and the broadcast audience (38) won the contest.

Eurovision, the biggest song contest ever, was overshadowed when the singer Joost Klein from the Netherlands was disqualified just before the grand finale because of an unwanted incident in which Joost Klein had done something wrong involving the woman of the crew.
This year’s Eurovision title was won by Switzerland’s Nemo. This is the third time Switzerland won the biggest-ever singing contest. Before the start of the contest, Nemo who is considered non-binary was placed in the third position as per the predictions of the experts but Nemo proved everyone wrong. Switzerland’s enthusiastic performance was full of energy and entertainment when Nemo started to sing the song ‘The Code’. The energetic performance won the hearts of the jury and impressed them very much because Nemo was successful in gaining the half votes of the jury and with this Nemo beat the singers of the other two strong competitors Croatia and Israel.
