Elon Musk Threatens To Ban Apple Devices Over New AI Integration

Billionaire Elon Musk is not happy with the new revelation of Apply to integrate its operating system with ChatGPT. Elon Musk has stated that he will ban the use of Apple devices in his companies if Apple will proceed with its plan to integrate OpenAI with its operating system, iOS 18. At the Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday, Apple released various new features for the iPhone by integrating the operating system with AI. After this revelation, Elon Musk has threatened Apple that if the company follows their new plan, he will ban the usage of every Apple device in his company premises.

Elon Musk Bombarded His ‘X’ Account With Posts and Memes

After Apple announced its partnership with OpenAI, Elon Musk took to his social media to threaten the company that he would ban the usage of every Apple device in his company.

Billionaire and CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, took to his ‘X’ account and said, “This is an unacceptable security violation.” He further said, “Visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in Faraday Cage.”.

Both Apple and OpenAI did not give any response to these comments. Apple revealed its plan to integrate AI with its operating system at WWDC. After which Elon Musk on his ‘X’ account wrote another post saying, “It’s patently farcical that Apple is not intelligent enough to create their own AI, yet it is capable of ensuring that OpenAI will surely protect your privacy and security.”.

Elon Musk has reacted to Tim Cook’s tweet.

CEO of Apple Tim Cook took to his ‘X’ account to announce the new AI feature of Apple, to which Elon Musk strongly labelled it as ‘creepy spyware’. Elon Musk boldly rejected this new integration idea of Apple due to security and privacy concerns.

In his post, Tim Cook wrote, “It’s private, personal, and powerful, and it’s integrated into the apps that you use daily. Introducing Apple Intelligence”. In this post, Elon Musk reacted by saying, “Don’t want it. Either stop this creepy spyware or I will ban all Apple devices on the premises of my companies.” Not only this, in his next ‘X’ post, Elon Musk further said, “If Apple will integrate AI at the OS level, then I will ban Apple devices at my companies. This security violation is unacceptable.”.

Elon Musk also quoted the dispute of popular American actress Scarlett Johansson with OpenAI, which used the actress’s voice as the voice of their chatbot named ‘sky’. By quoting this dispute, Elon Musk highlights various threats of AI that can cause harm to someone’s privacy and identity.
