Biden Administration’s Plan to Reschedule Marijuana

Biden administration proposed reclassification of marijuana. It will be a notable moment in federal drug policy in America. If this move is implemented, it would redefine marijuana’s legal status under the Controlled Substances Act, potentially changing its perception and accessibility across the United States.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) planned to move marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III. After this change, marijuana can be used medicinally and has medicinal value.

The difference between Schedule I and Schedule III is that Schedule III substances can be prescribed by licensed medical professionals and dispensed by pharmacies, but Schedule I drugs are considered very dangerous and not useful for health.

This move represents a change in the decade-old drug policy of America. After knowing and observing the importance of Marijuana Biden’s Government is working on restructuring the drug policy.

The plan to reclassify marijuana also reflects how Americans’ views on the drug are changing. Recent polls by the Associated Press show that many people want to change the laws regarding marijuana. Most Americans want it to be legal for both medical and recreational use.

Federal and state laws remain at odds regarding this change in drug policy.

While marijuana legalization has gained momentum at the state level, with many states allowing use, federal restrictions are creating challenges for marijuana businesses and consumers.

Before reclassification of marijuana, it is important to know the potential benefits and risks of it. The drug is used in many medical conditions, including chronic pain and epilepsy, it also carries many health risks. It may be associated with respiratory problems, cognitive impairment, and cardiovascular complications.

As the DEA’s proposal to reclassify marijuana undergoes public review, stakeholders from across the political and medical spectrum will have the opportunity to provide feedback and input.

The final decision will impact the society and indivisible people of America.
