Elbit Systems of America received a $139 million U.S. Army delivery order to produce Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binocular (ENVG-B) systems. The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity agreement under which the contract operates will direct Elbit America to manufacture ENVG-B systems through December 2026 at their facility in Roanoke Virginia, as reported by ASD News.
These sophisticated visual systems transcend basic dark sight perception by providing soldiers enhanced augmented reality functions along with passive target finding capacity which delivers enhanced awareness combined with mobility and operational effectiveness. Since 2020 Elbit America has delivered more than 25,000 sophisticated binocular systems to U.S. Army and Marine Corps troops for critical battlefield advantages in diverse operational settings. Erik Fox from Elbit America stated “The Enhanced Night Vision Goggle – Binocular systems are must-have on the modern battlefield”.
