UK Weather Live: Snow, Ice, and Freezing Temperatures Disrupt Airport Delays Nationwide
The UK continues to experience freezing temperatures and snow, causing disruptions across the country. Here’s a quick update on the situation:
On Thrusday morning Runways at Manchester Airport were shut on due to heavy snowfall in the region. Though after hours airport authorities has announced that runways have reopened. But some flights may still experience delays.
“Our runways are now open, but earlier closures may cause delays. Please check with your airline and allow extra time for your journey today.”

According to official release the temperatures will remain extremely low in UK. Some areas like Scotland and northern England are expected to reach -15°C to -16°C overnight. Friday could bring more snow to the south and west of the UK.
Met Office has issued warning to the people and asked them to take extra precautions as coming days can be more colder in nation. Amber cold weather alert from the UK Health Security Agency remaining in place until Sunday midday.
