Cloud seeding operates by introducing seeding agents, such as hygroscopic salt flares containing potassium chloride, into clouds with favorable updrafts. The UAE’s cloud-seeding program involves igniting hygroscopic flares released from specialized aircraft, a conventional yet effective approach.

Moreover, in clean atmospheres, the enhancement ratio could reach up to 25 percent.
