On Friday the first plane carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies landed in Beirut. The UAE collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) to send these supplies from Dubai’s Al Maktoum Airport. This is the first of several planned aid deliveries as part of the campaign.

The UAE has pledged $100 million in humanitarian aid to Lebanon. Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, highlighted the UAE’s commitment to offering urgent support and continuing to assist the Lebanese people, especially the most vulnerable groups.

The UAE expressed concern over the escalating situation in Lebanon and called for international efforts to stop the conflict and protect civilians. The country also reaffirmed its support for Lebanon’s unity and territorial integrity.

Minister of State for International Cooperation, Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy said, “These efforts come within the framework of the keenness of the wise leadership of the UAE to provide urgent humanitarian support around the world, and embody the commitment of the state, its leadership and its people to the values of solidarity and cooperation, and the constant endeavor to be at the forefront of countries that provide aid, support, and assistance to humanity.”
