After several decades, this is going to happen that a President of America will sworn inside home because of cold. Last time in 1985 Ronald Reagan faced similar freezing conditions.
According to the weather forecasts on the day of the inauguration, temperature will be 8°F (-13°C). So, escape from the cold is important, it is necessary to take action for safety reasons.
On Truth Social, Trump said: “It is my obligation to protect the people of our country. The weather forecast could bring record-low temperatures. I don’t want anyone hurt.”
The ceremony will now take place in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. Further Trump said that prayers, speeches, and his address would still proceed as planned.
Trump is set to take the oath of office as the 47th president of America after defeating Kamala Harris.
The inauguration ceremony usually draws large crowds and celebrations, but this year the event will be limited in size across much of the country due to an Arctic storm. Stay tuned for updates.
