Trump Doubles Down on Greenland: ‘We Need It for National Security’ — No Military Pressure, Just Action

President-elect Donald Trump again showed its stand on Greenland. When asked about using military or economic pressure, Trump simply stated, “No.”

However, he doubled down on Greenland’s importance, saying, “We need Greenland for national security purposes. People don’t even know if Denmark has any legal right to it. But if they do, they should give it up.”

Comments by Trump are heating the debates about intentions of U.S. under Trump Administration 2.0 to control important territories to secure strategic locations for national defense and benifits. His statements signal that he is committed to asserting American influence on the global stage.

Let us remind you, Today when Donald Trump Jr. visited in Nuuk, Greenland the buzz hit on the internet. But Trump Jr. said “No, I’m not buying Greenland.” It is a private trip.

Prime Minister Múte Egede of Greenland is standing rigid for sovereignty  and Greenland’s independence from Denmark. He shut down any speculation with a sharp retort: “We’re not for sale.”
