The Casting of Frank Stone Review

The Casting of Frank Stone is a new horror game tied in with the game Dead by Daylight. It’s developed by Supermassive Games, responsible for other survival horror games such as Until Dawn and The Quarry. This latest game does quite well in allowing players’ choices to change the story.

How the Game Works:

You will play and act as different personas in three different time zones, namely 1963, 1980, and 2024. At any instance in time, you make a decision for your character, and the choices you take may affect or change events throughout the story. Even some of the small choices one makes at times are big changes later on in the game.

New here is the Cutting Room Floor, where you see all your choices and are able to go back to try others without replaying the whole game.

Story and Characters:

This game narrates a scary story about the villain Frank Stone. There are many characters in the game, such as a police officer named Sam Green and a group of friends making a movie in the 1980s. Story and plot change according to your deeds.

Real mishmash of different genres of scary storytelling. One moment, it is just like any slasher movie; another moment, it is a ghost story, and sometimes even a science fiction horror movie.

What Makes It Special:

I think one of the nicest things about this game is your choices matter. Even small decisions one makes might change how characters act or what happens with them later. This makes you want to replay again just to see what else can happen.

This game also has a lot of great characters whom you grow to care for. You want to try and save them from things that could happen to them that are really scary.

The Casting of Frank Stone is probably one of the best games that Supermassive has made. It has a great story, interesting characters, and loads of choices that matter. If you like scares and decision-making, you will probably love this.
