X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced Tuesday that he is laying off the entire Supercharger team. The team is responsible for building supercharger stations, and the total number of employees is approximately 500.

Telsa disbanded its whole team that was working behind the charging stations.

Elon Musk officially confirmed this news by sharing a post on his platform X.

In addition to this announcement, The New York Times also reported that all employees on the Supercharger team received an email on the layoffs.

Tesla recently opened up its Superchargers to non-Tesla vehicles. This layoff in Tesla is not new recently Tesla said bye to more than 3,300 employees in California. There are more than 1,400 employees at the Fremont factory and several dozen in Palo Alto.

This layoff by Tesla has raised questions in the tech industry.

The notable point will be how other companies take steps to add EVs and continue to operate without employees.
