Serbian PM Resigns Amid Protests – Early Elections Possible, Says President Vučić

After the resignation of Serbian PM the wave of reactions and protests are occurring in different region of the globe.

Recently it sparked controversy sagain when Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has announced that the resignation of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević could lead to early elections or the formation of a new government in Serbia. This statement by the President came at the time when political tensions are growing in the region after the big anti-corruption protests.

Durina a talk at a press conference, Vučić ruled out an opposition demand for a transitional government, warning that Serbia’s stability is at risk. He “Serbia will preserve peace and stability”.

Prime Minister Vučević resigned after protests started in nation over a tragic accident at a newly renovated train station in Novi Sad. Over 15 people lost their lives in this accident. Critics are saying that poor construction and corruption are getting all the blames, and this is creating all the hate to government.

Students along with other groups are leading protests demanding accountability and transparency in Serbia’s infrastructure projects.
