Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is one of the renowned music moguls. He is in news after once he was taken into custody in New York City following raids on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami, which are linked to a federal human trafficking investigation. He was arrested on Monday in a hotel lobby in Manhattan, but the specific charges he faces have not been disclosed to the media till now.
Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ attorney expressed disappointment in the prosecution, emphasizing that Combs is not just a cultural icon and philanthropist, but also cooperative with the investigation. Agnifilo said, “Mr. Combs has proactively moved to New York in preparation for these charges, demonstrating his willingness to clear his name”. He urged the public to withhold judgment until all facts are revealed.
The United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, noted that Combs’ arrest was based on a sealed indictment which is expected to be made public soon.
Previously Combs faced allegations from Cassie legally known as Casandra Ventura, accusing him of severe misconduct, which were settled amicably shortly after being made. Recently, Combs publicly acknowledged his past actions and committed to personal improvement through therapy and rehabilitation.
