Sabrina Carpenter eyed to play Mia in ‘Mamma Mia!’ as Producers planning Third Movie and Broadway Return

To say it ‘Short n’ Sweet’, fans would be looking forward to having the blonde barbie singer Sabrina Carpenter playing Mia in ‘Mamma Mia!’. Now Judy Craymer, who is involved in everything regarding Mamma Mia! Musicals and movie franchises have given a little something  about a certain global sensation singer playing the role of Mia.

A Deadline report states that Sabrina Carpenter is being sought out for the role for the movie adaptation that is on charts. The third film is also in talks with a TV adaptation that is whispered and not confirmed as of yet.

It is already announced that Mamma Mia! Is announced to be having a Broadway return for a limited period of time at the Winter Garden Theatre from August 2 and a Gala opening night on 14 August.

Well if the cards fall right and Sabrina auditions for the darling daughter of Sophia, it can be made happen as fans and a former actress all agree with the casting. Unlike many internet casting couch situations where the fans suggest a good fit for the roles, Mia could possibly be played by Sabrina Carpenter.

The pop singer even sang the ABBA song from the original Mamma Mia! movie during her Short n’ Sweet tour stops in 2024 that led fans to demand her playing the role of Mia. And when Amanda Seyfried who is the movie adaptation Mia also agrees for the casting as she spoke with ABC News’ Will Ganss.

The Emmy winning actress replied if Sabrina Carpenter would be cut out for the role of Mia saying, “Technically she could”. In Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, the plot is spoiled by having the beloved Donna unfortunately passing away, reports THR in October 2024.
