Rishi Sunak Takes Break from Campaign Trail for McDonald’s Breakfast

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak paused his intense campaign for the upcoming general election on July 4th to grab a McDonald’s breakfast at Beaconsfield Services.

Currently crisscrossing the country in a final bid for votes in the last two days of the election campaign, Sunak made a pit stop after an early-morning visit to an Ocado packing plant in Bedfordshire today (July 2). He treated hungry reporters aboard his campaign bus to McDonald’s breakfast from Beaconsfield Services on the M40.

Known for its diverse food options including Nando’s and Tapori Indian Street Food Beaconsfield Services is renowned as one of the country’s top service stations. It offers family-friendly activities and lush green surroundings.

During a morning interview on BBC Breakfast, Sunak dismissed predictions of a Labour victory, emphasizing his commitment to reaching as many voters as possible. Speaking from a supermarket visit in Oxfordshire, he stated, “I started my day at 4 AM talking to workers at a distribution facility. I’m here talking to you now, and I’ll be out until the last moment of this campaign because I believe it’s a crucial choice for our country.”

Sunak also spoke to the PA News Agency, acknowledging that things have improved under the Tories in recent years. He candidly admitted that his toughest moment as Prime Minister was his failure to reduce NHS waiting lists.
